Story#1

I was 17 years old when I got pregnant by my fiancé. I was three months, so called him to talk about the name of our son. I was on the phone in the kitchen talking to him trying to come up with a name for our son. He didn't want our son named after, but my mother and grandmother felt like a man's first boy should be named after him. My grandmother and my mother heard me on the phone, and they heard me say to my fiancé, "You don't want the baby named after you. So, I said ok, we can name him something else. I walked out of the kitchen, and they began to call me weak because I was willing to name our child what we wanted him to be named. I told them it was our baby and we can name him what we wanted. They said that I was stupid and pushed me. I tried to get away, so I ran in the dining room they both got in my face, and they both told me, my fiancé got what he wanted, and he wasn’t to be there for our baby nor me. I told them they didn’t know him as I did, I got hit, and so I ran toward the living room and sat in my grandfather’s recliner. I thought I they were done, but they came back and were in my face, still telling me again that my fiancé wasn’t going to be there and saying he was a puck. I yelled for my granddaddy who was in his room asleep, so he didn’t hear me. I tried to get out of the recliner, but they both punched me in my chest, tears ran down my face because I couldn’t breathe and I was shocked that I was getting jumped by, my mother and grandmother. I made my way out of the recliner toward the front door area, they both continue to say things about me and my fiancé. Then my grandmother called me a hoe, when she called me that, I looked her in the face and said to her, “how you going to call me a hoe, when you got four baby daddies’, that’s when she hit me again, and I fell and hit the wall with tears running down my face. I thought my baby was dead after this.
